The First Post

Welcome to our blog!

It's been a long held idea of mine to have a website that would enable me to share the things we are up to, unconstrained, unslopped, unaded, and unalgorithmed by the whims of social media.

Back when I was standing in the telescope portion of the crowd while watching the Solar Eclipse in 2024 I was asked if I had a website where I held my astrophotography. Regretably I didn't. All I had was an instagram profile and I've struggled to know what that medium is actually supposed to be for. Friends and family? Or someing a little more Amateur Professional.

By that time though I was already dating Nicola, so I didn't have much interest in growing an Astrophography brand for myself. And now we're Married! With a lot of potential for moving, traveling, being far away for both her work and mine. We've had discussions about how to keep in contact with all of our friends and family, to share our adventures when we know we won't always be able to make every event and gathering to catch up.

So here's our blog!

My goal is to try to post once a month here, plus throw in a few extra "Side Notes". We also have some catch up to do. So many of you haven't been able to see any pictures from our Wedding Honeymoon, etc.
